Crypto News – The popular tech company Google faced criticism after releasing a promotional video for Gemini, a new artificial intelligence platform. Employees of the company have observed that the technology isn’t exactly as functional as it was in the video.
Google’s Demo Video for ChatGPT Killer Gemini AI Turns Out to Contain Fake Content
Following harsh criticism from users and staff members, the company acknowledged that it was a phony. The prompts weren’t spoken, and the film wasn’t captured in real-time. According to AI expert Rowan Cheung, in actuality, frames were taken out, and researchers entered prompts off-camera.
Compared to how it actually operates, Gemini‘s answers were quicker, and its latency was lower in the duck movie. Google claimed that although they didn’t alter specific phrases, the representation wasn’t entirely true. Cheung selected a particularly startling segment of the video sample. A hand gestured on television, to which Gemini replied, “I know what you’re doing! You’re playing Rock, Paper, Scissors!”
Google Employees Also Criticize Internal Inconsistencies
Some Google staff members are reportedly pointing out the discrepancies internally as well, according to Bloomberg. “The video paints an unrealistic picture of how easy it is to coax impressive results out of Gemini,” a staffer told the outlet. In addition, Gemini outperforms other AI models on certain benchmarks; nevertheless, research still has to be done on the more sophisticated features seen in the video.
All signals show that Gemini is a great model but now people are writing articles about this video instead. This seems like a PR fail.
