Floki Listing on Coinbase: What to Expect?
With Coinbase confirming Wednesday afternoon that it would list the asset the next day, Floki (FLOKI), the Ethereum-based meme coin with a dog theme, is gathering traction. Following Coinbase’s announcement that trading for Floki will start Thursday if it satisfies the exchange’s liquidity requirements, trading volume for Floki increased by 6.18% over the previous day, indicating a spike in market activity. According to Coinbase, the listing will be introduced gradually, and depending on the jurisdictions it supports, support for Floki may be restricted. Notably, only the ERC-20 version of the coin will be supported.
Floki Nears All-Time High Amid Meme Coin Rally Fueled by Trump Election
With President-elect Donald Trump on November 5, meme coins have skyrocketed. Dogecoin’s (DOGE) market capitalization has risen by $30 billion in just one week, whereas Bonk, a token rooted in Solana, has climbed by over 80% in the same time frame. With a price increase of nearly 600% in the last year, Floki is currently less than 20% off its peak of $0.00034, which was reached six months ago.
The cryptocurrency trading company DWF Labs has launched a $20 million fund devoted to meme coin initiatives, demonstrating how the sector’s rapid rise has drawn institutional attention as well. Even though the market is known for its extreme volatility and speculative trading, the fund seeks to invest in tokens with distinctive value propositions and active communities.

Meme Coin Mania: Floki Gains Popularity with Viking-Themed Warrior Dog Mascot
The hype and market returns are the only reasons meme coins draw investors, whereas the majority of other cryptocurrency tokens are linked to valuable assets or based on market fundamentals. That, or maybe the visuals are too good to resist. For instance, Floki is an adorable warrior dog with a Viking motif that has all the endearing fury that a pet may have. It has gained popularity among the degen community because of its name, which is derived from Elon Musk’s pet Shiba Inu, and its connection to Musk, who backed Donald Trump in the election.
The FLOKI inclusion comes after Coinbase recently added Dogwifhat (WIF) and Pepe (PEPE), two well-known meme coins. Following their simultaneous debuts on Coinbase and Robinhood, both tokens had notable price increases, with PEPE rising by more than 50% in just one day.
