The post emphasized that this release includes “important updates to the networking code” and urged all users across platforms to update promptly. The update brings several crucial bug fixes, including:
- Reduction in peer inv object counts
- Enhanced transaction request tracking
- Improved handling of orphan transactions
- Decreased getheaders traffic for inv-messages
- Better reporting of difficulty adjustment errors
These updates are designed to boost efficiency, security, reliability, and trust within the blockchain network. The community also noted that the availability of a notarized MacOS dmg has been delayed due to issues with Apple’s service, though it is expected to be available soon.
