In a significant move within the crypto industry, Constance Wang, who was instrumental in the fundraising efforts of FTX and often referred to as Sam Bankman-Fried‘s “right hand,” has taken up a new role.
Constance Wang, Former FTX COO, Joins Sino Global Crypto Fund
She has joined the crypto fund Sino Global Capital, taking the reins as the Head of Gaming. This development was confirmed by Matthew Graham, the founder and CEO of Sino Global Capital.
Wang’s journey in the crypto industry is noteworthy. She joined FTX in 2019, after stints as an analyst at Credit Suisse and a business development lead at Huobi. A graduate of the National University of Singapore in 2015, Wang was reportedly residing in Bankman-Fried’s luxury penthouse in the Bahamas, where the occupants were allegedly involved in romantic relationships.
A clean face from the defiled remains of fTX
Matthew Graham, the CEO of Sino Global, shares a close professional relationship with Bankman-Fried. Sino Global and FTX have a history of deep ties that extend beyond equity investments.
While Wang was a key figure in managing Bankman-Fried’s crypto ventures and has been subpoenaed by FTX’s creditors, she has not been implicated in any legal wrongdoing or named in any lawsuit related to the collapse of FTX or Alameda.
