The cryptocurrency trading platform CoinEx has officially announced that it has now opened BitHK, a reputable cryptocurrency trading platform for users in Hong Kong.
CoinEx Has Developed BitHK, a New Crypto Trading Platform for Hong Kongers
On June 1, BitHK will reportedly submit an application to the Hong Kong Securities and Exchange Commission (SFC) for a license as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP).
CoinEx also said that it would rigorously abide by the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financial Amendment Bill 2022 as well as the SFC’s newly released Code of Conduct in Cryptocurrency Exchanges.
About the New Crypto Trading Platform
For seamless trading of cryptocurrencies, this new trading platform will make use of CoinEx’s separately created rapid order matching mechanism. On the platform, users can store cryptocurrency assets and engage in spot trading in both Chinese and English. The new cryptocurrency trading platform is still being finished, and it will soon be available for P2P and spot trading with HKD deposits and withdrawals.
Retail Trading Mode
Just one day remains till Hong Kong’s scheduled retail trading mode launches, and cryptocurrency exchanges are eager to expand there. Several cryptocurrency businesses have announced plans to submit applications for licenses on June 1, signaling the start of the regional competition for retail crypto dealers.
Earlier, Huobi tweeted that their HK institution offers cryptocurrency trading to local retail traders. The exchange submitted the VASP application to the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) on May 29.
