Crypto News- Coinbase Cloud and Kiln has introduced Partial ETH Staking via Coinbase Cloud validators, seamlessly integrating Kiln’s On-Chain Staking platform. Historically, over 99% of ETH wallet holders have been excluded from local due to the 32 ETH minimum stake requirement. ETH staking has remained elusive for many. This integration marks an important step towards democratizing staking accessibility for all wallet users, enabling more people to participate in network security while receiving rewards.
Coinbase Cloud and Kiln Collaborate to Enable Native ETH Staking on Coinbase Wallet, Removing Minimum Stake Limits
Starting today, Coinbase Cloud customers and other self-custody wallet providers will be able to leverage their API to unlock native staking for their users, allowing them to stake any amount of ETH they want. The increase in staked ETH post-Shapella upgrade empowers wallet providers to appeal to users looking for flexible staking solutions.
In the near future, Coinbase Wallet will pioneer the use of Coinbase Cloud’s Fractional ETH Staking solution, allowing users to stake ETH locally with no minimum requirements. Thanks to this integration, every Coinbase Wallet user will effortlessly stake their ETH and earn rewards.
We are delighted to collaborate with Coinbase Cloud and welcome them as the first (non-Kiln) node operator leveraging the Kiln On-Chain Staking Platform. This integration with Coinbase Cloud is remarkable as it enables them to extend this limitless ETH staking solution to other wallets and services, including decentralized exchanges (DEXes). Our commitment is to make staking accessible to all Ethereum users.
