LG Uplus Opens a Clothing Store Called Meta Slap in the Metaverse
The digital clothing, which is being created alongside South Korean fashion businesses Ation Fashion and Z-Emotion, would reportedly provide a digital service for office workers in order to foster metaverse commerce in the apparel industry, claims the most recent source. A memorandum of understanding (MOU) to operate Meta Slap, a platform that combines the real and virtual worlds, was inked by the three companies on July 9.
The Online Store Will Also Serve Physically
Users will be able to buy physical goods directly from the metaverse by using the links to offline goods that the online clothes market will also offer. Additionally, in order to allow users to dress up their virtual avatars, LG Uplus Corp., Ation Fashion, and Z-Emotion intend to launch a fitting room that is powered by artificial intelligence.
Digital Fashion is in Trend
One such sector that has experienced tremendous growth online is fashion. Numerous well-known fashion houses have dipped a toe into the metaverse, including Gucci, Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Prada, and Nike. Recently, fashion aficionados have become very interested in metaverse fashion shows.
More than 60 businesses participated in Decentraland’s Metaverse Fashion Week earlier this year, a 3D virtual world browser-based platform where fashion brands created virtual places to display apparel, digital architecture, and fashion-related emotions.
