In a message to his Discord community, Ivan shared, “I found myself without funds even in my bank account. My financial stability was solely reliant on cryptocurrency.” He revealed that approximately $50,000 worth of MATIC tokens from his MetaMask wallet were stolen, along with his collection of NFTs.

Faced with desperation, Ivan offered a $1,000 reward for anyone aiding in the recovery of the stolen funds. He also revealed his intention to involve law enforcement by filing a police report. Some of Ivan’s followers provided insight, suggesting that the thief might lack experience, as the MetaMask platform retains IP information upon usage. This detail potentially paves the way for locating the perpetrator.
