Aave Price Stays Strong as Trump’s DeFi Project Launches Amid Assassination Attempt at His Florida Golf Club
Donald Trump survived a second assassination attempt in just two months at his Florida golf club, as confirmed by the FBI. The former president remains unharmed, and the suspect was swiftly apprehended by authorities. The attempted attack, which involved an AK-47-style rifle, appeared premeditated.
Despite the dramatic news, Trump’s much-anticipated World Liberty Financial (WLFI) decentralized finance (DeFi) project officially launched today. While this event has garnered attention, it was Aave (AAVE) that stole the crypto spotlight, surging 11% over the past week and outperforming most of the market. Over the last 90 days, AAVE has risen by 66%, with speculation mounting that WLFI may utilize Aave’s protocol, sparking further bullish sentiment.
With 93% of Aave’s total supply already in circulation, analysts predict additional gains are on the horizon. AAVE is currently trading at $140.67, despite a minor 3% pullback in the last 24 hours.
Aave Retraces Slightly as WLFI Launches Following Trump Assassination Attempt
Donald Trump narrowly escaped another assassination attempt, marking the second incident in recent months. The FBI confirmed that the former president is unharmed and that the suspect, who fled the scene, was quickly apprehended. The recovery of an AK-47-style weapon indicates the attack was planned.
Amid this news, Trump’s highly anticipated DeFi project World Liberty Financial (WLFI), officially launched today. In a video posted to his X (formerly Twitter) account, Trump emphasized his belief in crypto’s future, stating he is “leaving behind outdated big banks” and embracing the decentralized financial revolution. WLFI has been in development for months, with Trump’s sons, Eric and Donald Jr., leading the project.
Aave’s Price Rally Driven by Speculation of WLFI Partnership
Aave’s recent price surge was largely driven by rumors that WLFI could be built on Aave’s protocol, which runs atop Ethereum’s mainnet. With 93% of Aave’s supply now circulating, the end of inflationary pressures could result in a significant price pump, as demand continues to rise for the DeFi platform.
Currently, AAVE trades at $140.67, following a slight 3% dip over the past 24 hours.
Aave Technical Analysis: The Bull Run Isn’t Over
Aave’s price action is one of the strongest in the crypto market right now, showcasing a robust uptrend that began in mid-2023. The chart displays a pattern of higher lows and higher highs, signaling sustained bullish momentum. Key resistance levels have already been broken, further confirming the upward trend.
Looking ahead, Aave could encounter resistance at the $186 mark, the next major target for bulls. This represents a potential 32% upside from current levels. A successful break above $186 would pave the way for a larger move, potentially pushing the price into the $200–$220 range, marking a possible 55% gain.
Aave has strong support around the $130–$135 range, a former resistance level that has now turned into a crucial base for further upward movement. However, if the price dips below $138, the next support levels would be at $100 and $80, which could invalidate the current bullish outlook and signal a return to consolidation.
