Crypto News – A trader who purchased a recently released memecoin with a frog theme on the Solana network and sold the tokens a day before prices surged lost the opportunity to turn $8,000 into about $1 million.
A BOME Trader Misses a Chance to Earn $1 Million
A remarkable exchange involving the investment of 50 Solana tokens (SOL) into a new Solana memecoin called Book of Meme (BOME) by a Solana holder with the wallet address “shatter.sol” was reported by blockchain analytics company Lookonchain on March 14. The dealer purchased about 170 million tokens, which he later sold for $131,000 when the value rose.
Even though the trade was already seen as exceptional by many, the token’s value increased dramatically. The price of BOME increased from its starting point of $0.00005848 on March 14 to a maximum of $0.005833 on March 15, according to data from the coin information tracker CoinGecko. Due to this, the token’s market value increased to over $320 million, which means that if the trader had held out on selling for a day, the 170 million tokens would have been worth roughly $993,000.
