Cristiano Ronaldo Launches New NFT Collection with Binance: “Forever Worldwide: The Road to Saudi Arabia”

Cristiano Ronaldo continues to make strides in the Web3 space with the launch of a new non-fungible token (NFT) collection in collaboration with Binance. Titled “Forever Worldwide: The Road to Saudi Arabia,” this collection celebrates Ronaldo’s journey from his humble beginnings to his rise as a football legend.

The NFTs will chronicle Ronaldo’s career, starting from his early days as a teenage prodigy in Madeira, through his impactful stints at Manchester United and Real Madrid. Binance has worked with local artists from Madeira, Lisbon, Manchester, Madrid, Turin, Saudi Arabia, and Portugal to create unique designs for each NFT, capturing key moments from Ronaldo’s illustrious career.

In an interview with Cointelegraph, Sarah Dale, Binance’s head of brand partnerships, shared insights about the project. She emphasized that the goal of this collection is to offer fans exclusive digital artworks that encapsulate significant stages of Ronaldo’s career while providing unique experiences for his most dedicated supporters.

Ronaldo expressed that collaborating with artists who can authentically depict the essence of each location makes the collection even more meaningful. He added, “As NFTs, these moments in my journey can live on forever.”

Dale noted Ronaldo’s active involvement with fan interactions in previous collaborations and highlighted that this new collection will provide certain NFT holders with the opportunity to celebrate with Ronaldo in person in Riyadh. “He loves meeting his fans. While we prepare scripts for him, he often goes off-script to engage more personally. His happiest moments on set have been with his fans,” Dale remarked.

The “Forever Worldwide” collection will be released in two phases ahead of the 2024/2025 football season. The first phase, launching on May 29, features NFT artworks from Madeira, Lisbon, and Manchester. Artists Katt Phatt (Madeira) and Rodrigo Doin (Lisbon) have created pieces representing Ronaldo’s early career, while Manchester artist John Sheehan’s work honors Ronaldo’s time with the Red Devils.

The second drop, scheduled for June 6, will include artworks representing Madrid, Turin, and Saudi Arabia, designed by Spanish artist Lisett Ledón (Madrid), Italian artist Pasquale Garibaldi (Turin), and Saudi artist Shaker Kashgari, respectively.

Additionally, seven “super, super rare NFTs” will be auctioned later in June. This exclusive collection, designed by Portuguese street artist Mr. Dheo, celebrates Ronaldo’s extensive career with the Portuguese national team.

The NFTs come with a variety of real-world rewards, including vintage jerseys, football tickets, and signed posters. Some collectors will have the chance to submit questions for Ronaldo, who will respond in personalized videos for specific NFT holders.

Dale also mentioned that the seven super rare Portugal NFTs will include an exclusive in-person experience with Ronaldo, featuring a trip to Riyadh to attend a match and a personalized goal celebration moment on set with the star.
