In the latest development, Jez Mohideen, CEO of Laser Digital, will take on a non-executive director role on Webn’s board as part of the partnership. The specific size of the investment remains undisclosed.
Webn, founded in late 2021, has successfully incubated several web3 businesses, including Geometry, a cryptography research house, Trufin, a DeFi protocol, and Twinstake, a non-custodial staking provider. According to Himanshu Panwar, CEO of Webn Group UK, the company’s primary focus is on nurturing startups that aim to integrate crypto technologies into traditional financial services.
