Binance Partners with Ferencváros to Promote Web3 and NFTs in Sports
Binance has formed a strategic alliance with Ferencváros, the most illustrious club in the annals of Hungarian football. This collaboration is set to introduce Web3 and blockchain technologies to the sporting community, leveraging educational programs, diverse activities, and generous giveaways. The partnership between Binance and Ferencváros is being facilitated by an intermediary entity, acting in the football club’s best interests.
A highlight of this endeavor is Binance’s commitment to bestow exclusive limited-edition NFTs upon Ferencváros aficionados during every home league match. These NFTs, adorned with the team’s distinctive white, green, and gold emblems, grant fervent Fradi supporters access to an array of merchandise, including scarves, T-shirts, and jerseys. As these collectors amass a specific quantity of these digital collectibles, they will unlock privileged experiences and Fradi rewards at the close of the season.
To acquire the coveted Fradi NFTs, followers of the football club must possess an account on binance.com. Existing Binance users can seamlessly access these NFTs through their established accounts, while newcomers have the straightforward option of registering on the Binance.com platform.
The collaboration entails prominent placement of Binance’s branding on LED perimeters encircling the pitch, as well as on monumental screens and supplementary displays within the Groupama Arena stadium during each of the team’s home league fixtures. Furthermore, Binance intends to establish dedicated pavilions within the stadium premises, hosting a spectrum of crypto-focused events tailored for the benefit of Ferencváros supporters. Fans are now able to engage with Binance through diverse channels, including Groupama Arena’s social media outlets, the Ferencváros mobile application, and email newsletters.
Kyrylo Khomiakov, General Manager of Binance in Central and Eastern Europe, remarked, “We take immense pride in inaugurating our partnership with Ferencváros, an eminent figure in the annals of Hungarian football. This stride marks a significant advancement in fortifying the utility of Web3 and is poised to elevate the fan experience to unprecedented heights.”
In the 2022/23 season, Ferencváros clinched their 34th Hungarian league title and secured a place in the group stage of an international tournament for the fourth consecutive occasion. Their progression to the Europa League quarter-finals in 2022 signaled a triumphant return to the knockout stage of a European competition after a hiatus spanning 48 years.
