The Web3 project Injustice Samurai praised Binance, a leading crypto exchange, for its assistance in recovering funds from scammers. According to a tweet from the project, Binance took action by freezing the scammer’s account and helping retrieve an undisclosed amount of money.

Injustice Samurai, an Ethereum-based gaming project, had entered into an agreement with a marketing team to promote its brand. The project paid the team upfront with the expectation that they would fulfill their part of the deal.

However, the marketers continuously delayed their services and eventually cut off communication with Injustice Samurai. The project reported the incident to Binance, providing evidence of the transaction, including proof that the scammers had used Binance to transfer the funds.

With the evidence provided by Injustice Samurai, Binance froze the scammer’s account, leading them to return the money. Binance expressed its excitement about the news, emphasizing its commitment to prioritizing users and offering assistance when needed.

Other Twitter users also commended Binance for preventing the intended scam, highlighting the exchange’s reputation as the best in dealing with cryptocurrencies.

This is not the first time Binance has helped organizations recover stolen funds. The exchange assisted the Norwegian police in reclaiming $6 million from the Ronin heist, aided in freezing the crypto assets of Terraform Labs CEO Do Kwon in South Korea, and collaborated with Huobi to recover $2.4 million in Bitcoin from Harmony hackers.
