Binance and the New Taipei District Prosecutors Office worked together to organize training to prevent cybercrime in the virtual assets space. The workshop was held on August 24 as part of Binance’s ongoing efforts to continue to lead the fight against financial cybercrime on a worldwide scale.
Binance and the New Taipei District Prosecutors Office Collaborate to Develop and Improve Investigation Skills
Yu Li-Chen, the Chief Public Prosecutor of the New Taipei District Prosecutors Office, was among the more than 70 prosecutors and assistant prosecutors who attended the workshop both in person and virtually. A variety of subjects were covered by experts from Binance’s industry-leading compliance team, including recent criminal trends in the virtual asset sector, the fundamentals of blockchain and digital asset investigations, and case studies of Binance’s efforts to fight financial crimes in collaboration with law enforcement agencies and financial intelligence units worldwide.
As technology rapidly advances, new forms of crime emerge. It is crucial for law enforcement agents to understand the latest crime trends and be equipped with skills to protect citizens’ assets. We are delighted to partner with Binance to provide prosecutors with knowledge and insights in blockchain and virtual assets space and enhance our investigative capabilities.

Binance and Taiwan Previously Organized a Workshop
The August training is the second round of activities this summer that Binance and Taiwan law enforcement agencies have jointly arranged. Similar training sessions were conducted by Binance in Taipei in June for the Criminal Investigation Bureau of Taiwan.
