Biggest Bitcoin Futures Gap: Trump’s Crypto Reserve Sparks $300B Market Surge!
After US President Donald Trump announced a crypto strategic reserve on March 2, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange had its biggest-ever Bitcoin futures gap. Following the news, spot markets saw an influx of almost $300 billion, creating a $10,000 CME Bitcoin futures gap, according to TradingView. On March 2, Asymmetric founder Joe McCann noted that this record disparity surpasses the previous record of just over $4,000 set in August 2024.
Bitcoin has officially filled its CME Gap between $92,800 and $94,000. But in doing so, Bitcoin has also created a massive brand new CME Gap somewhere between $84,650 and $94,000.

Because these gaps could eventually act as levels of support or resistance, traders often keep an eye on them.
Additionally, a lot of traders think that these gaps will eventually be filled, which means that the price will go back to the gap level, which in this case is approximately $85,000. However, based on past market cycles, this can take several months.
