Ava Protocol has been selected to provide its event-driven automation infrastructure for the Soneium Spark incubation program, part of Sony Block Solution Labs’ newly launched layer-2 blockchain, Soneium. According to the protocol’s recent press release, this collaboration will offer creators and developers a streamlined way to manage and monetize their projects using Ava Protocol’s intent-based, no-code automation technology.

In a conversation with crypto.news, Ava Protocol’s founder, Chris Li, emphasized how their platform’s reduced computation and storage costs outperform traditional layer-2 solutions. “Our technology equips creators and developers with the necessary tools to truly take control of their digital assets,” Li said.

Commenting on the ongoing debate between layer-1 and layer-2 solutions, Li noted that Ava Protocol’s innovation allows for seamless bridging of assets across both layers with just a single click. “This partnership marks a significant milestone in our journey to becoming the leading solution for smart contract automation on Soneium,” he added.

Li also assured that the upcoming launch of Ava Protocl’s native asset will not interfere with the Soneium integration, as these are considered “two distinct events.”

In addition, creators on Soneium can leverage Ava Protocol to tokenize real-world assets, unlocking new opportunities to monetize everything from art and intellectual property to physical goods via decentralized marketplaces.

Soneium, designed as an open-source and multi-purpose blockchain, aims to cater to users across various platforms. Through this strategic partnership, Ava Protocol will enable transactions and smart contracts to be triggered on Soneium based on specific conditions such as price fluctuations, time, or other events. The platform will also support features like recurring payments, stop-loss orders, yield harvesting, NFT updates, and minting.

This collaboration represents a crucial step in advancing the blockchain’s capabilities, empowering creators and developers to harness the full potential of decentralized finance and automation.
