Binance Announces $3 Million BNB Token Airdrop for Marrakesh-Safi Residents Affected by Morocco’s September 8 Earthquake
Crypto News – In a generous move to assist those affected by the devastating September 8 earthquake in Morocco, the renowned cryptocurrency exchange Binance has pledged to provide $3 million worth of Binance Coin (BNB) tokens.
Individuals who had previously verified their address details by September 9, confirming their residence in the Marrakesh-Safi province, will be eligible to receive $100 worth of BNB each. For users who complete the verification process after this date, a sum of $25 in BNB will be granted.
This commendable initiative aims to support approximately 70,000 individuals in need. Binance has announced that the distribution of funds has already commenced and will be reaching users’ accounts starting today, as confirmed in their official statement released on Monday.
The earthquake, one of the most severe to hit Morocco in over six decades, tragically claimed the lives of more than 2,800 people.
BNB, the native token powering the BNB Chain ecosystem, has shown minimal fluctuations over the past 24 hours, with a trading price of approximately $209, according to data from CoinGecko.
