Uniswap’s New Privacy Policy
Exchange platform says in its new privacy policy, which it has published to ensure transparency and improve the user experience, that certain on-chain and off-chain data will now be collected from users. After this announcement, which angered the crypto world, Exchange platform said that data such as users’ device type, and browser will be collected, but personal data will not be collected. The explanation made by the exchange platform for the new privacy policy is as follows:
“Our first priority is to protect user data and privacy, but we do want to make data-driven decisions that improve user experience. That includes public on-chain data and limited off-chain data like device type, browser version, etc. Because Uniswap Labs does not collect personal data, any vendors we work with do not have any personal data either.”
