The X Collection: A Unique NFT Initiative for Employee Engagement
The NFT initiative, known as “The X Collection,” features artwork created by US-based applied artist Candace Marquette. The digital renderings of people and animals are inspired by the six natural elements—clouds, land, water, light, air, and fire. The collection is part of Pluxee’s efforts to increase employee engagement and enrich company culture.
How the Employee-Exclusive NFTs Work
The project comprises 5,000 digital collectibles—NFTs inspired by the 31 countries where the company currently operates. At present, the NFTs serve as specially designed profile pictures for Pluxee’s employees. However, they also showcase the potential of NFTs as tools for enhancing employee engagement and company culture.
The Potential Impact of Pluxee’s NFT Initiative
While the NFTs are currently used as profile pictures, employees can trade these digital collectibles among their peers and transfer the assets into their own wallets. Although Pluxee does not expect the NFTs to have resale value, the initiative demonstrates the company’s belief in the potential of blockchain technology to drive positive change.
Sodexo’s Commitment to Sustainability and Charity
In line with its commitment to sustainability, Pluxee chose to partner with Dfinity and use the Internet Computer blockchain for its energy efficiency. As part of the NFT drop, the company pledged to donate €1 per NFT claimed—for a potential maximum of €5,000, or about $5,440—to its Stop Hunger charity initiative.
