In an effort to encourage additional developers to build on the NEAR Protocol, the agreement gives the NEAR Foundation access to Alibaba Cloud’s developer ecosystem throughout Asia and the Middle East. The “plug-and-play” infrastructure as a service provided by Alibaba Cloud will enable developers to establish additional NEAR validators.

What is RPC?
According to a release, the NEAR Foundation and Alibaba Cloud will provide remote procedure calls (RPC) as a service to developers and users within the NEAR ecosystem. Users can read data on blockchains and transmit transactions to various networks via RPC, a sort of computer server. Additionally, it will provide developers with a data query API by way of multi-chain indexing.
