A day after threatening to remove another Bitcoin-related app, Damus, Apple has rejected the most recent version of the Zeus app, a non-custodial Lightning Network-enabled Bitcoin wallet.

Zeus founder Evan Kaloudis tweeted what Apple told the company about the issue.
Your app facilitates the transmission of a virtual currency but was not submitted by a corresponding exchange or recognized financial institution. To resolve this issue, please provide documentary evidence demonstrating you have the necessary licenses and permissions to distribute an app with cryptocurrency exchange features in all the locations where your app is currently available.

Previous Version Still in the App Store
Zeus is negotiating with Apple for certification because it doesn’t offer cryptocurrency trading functionality but instead facilitates payments through a non-custodial wallet. In addition, the previous version of the Zeus app is still available on the App Store.
Being non-custodial should be easy to push back since the product is just a software interface,

Apple Warned Damus
The announcement comes one day after Apple urged Damus to discontinue its zaps feature. The zaps functionality has to now be removed from all content areas. However, profiles can still have it enabled. As he believes he is not breaking any rules, Damus core developer William Casarin tweeted he would submit again with zaps in the future.
