RWAccelerator: The Startup Program Driving the Future of Tokenized Assets
RWAccelerator –MANTRA, a Layer 1 blockchain, has officially launched its RWAccelerator program to promote the tokenization of real-world assets (RWAs). The program, which has garnered backing from Google Cloud, aims to help startups build solutions in sectors such as real estate, financial products, and alternative assets. The initiative was announced at Consensus Hong Kong and arrives at a crucial moment for the tokenized asset sector.
The RWAccelerator offers selected startups funding, AI-driven resources, expert mentorship, and technical support to help them develop innovative solutions. The program is structured into three main tracks: infrastructure, tokenization, and decentralized finance (DeFi). Successful applicants will receive cloud credits, technical support, and workshops led by Google engineers. In addition, MANTRA’s team will provide valuable insights into smart contracts, tokenomics, legal compliance, and market strategies.
“This program offers an opportunity for startups to leverage cutting-edge technology and resources while gaining valuable mentorship to drive success,” said John Patrick Mullin, CEO of MANTRA. The support from Google Cloud enables startups to significantly contribute to the Web3 community and push the boundaries of blockchain innovation.
Global Shift Towards Tokenized Assets
The World Economic Forum predicts that by 2027, around 10% of the world’s GDP, equivalent to roughly $10 trillion, could be stored on blockchain networks, with RWAs playing a key role in this transformation. Richard Widmann, Google Cloud’s global head of Web3 strategy, emphasized the program’s goal of bridging traditional industries with Web3 technologies, particularly for individuals outside the crypto space.
Program Timeline and Applications
Applications for the first RWAccelerator cohort are open until March 20, 2025, with the program set to begin in Dubai in April. A second intake will open once the first round concludes. This launch comes shortly after MANTRA secured a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), enabling the company to provide exchange, broker-dealer, and investment services in the region.
The RWAccelerator program is poised to drive further innovation in real-world asset tokenization, and its collaboration with Google Cloud positions it as a key player in the evolving Web3 landscape.
