XRP Ledger to Undergo Significant Upgrades as XRPL Validators Back Crucial Changes
The network’s validators have lately overwhelmingly endorsed many significant changes, suggesting that XRP Ledger (XRPL) may see considerable enhancements in the coming days. Two modifications to the XRP Ledger have just received the majority and are currently in the two-week activation period, according to Vet, an XRPL dUNL validator.
FixEmptyDID and fixPreviousTxnID are the two amendments in question. FixEmptyDID is a necessary amendment that preceded the DID amendment. Changes to transaction processing that are represented by amendments include new functionalities. Any changes that impact how transactions are processed on the XRP Ledger are approved by the amendment system through the agreement procedure.
RippleX Unveils Two New XRPL Specs to Boost On-Chain Permissions and DEX Security
According to Mayukha Vadari, a senior software developer at RippleX, two additional specs have been added to XRP Ledger this week in addition to the two changes that have entered the two-week activation period. Vadari tweeted that two additional XRPL specs, centered on permissions and compliance, had been published.
- XLS-80d: Permissioned Domains builds upon XLS-70d and is a foundational component designed to facilitate on-chain permissions management
- XLS-81d: Permissioned DEX – Safe and controlled trade environments
Vadari thinks that these upgrades will contribute to increased safety and flexibility on XRPL.
