A news release states that Transak will help Soneium enroll general customers who wish to take advantage of the web3 infrastructure and services offered by the Ethereum layer 2 platform. The American payments company Transak maintains operations in the UK, Italy, the UAE, Hong Kong, and Bengaluru, India, in addition to its tech hub.

With the introduction of an Ethereum layer 2 blockchain, Sony Group, through its Sony Block Solutions Labs, is making a major foray into the blockchain and web3 area. Using the OP Stack, the tech giant and Startale Labs collaborated to create the Soneium platform, which was unveiled on August 23.

Users from all over the world will be able to quickly join the Soneium platform due to integration with Transak. More than 350 applications in 160 countries can use Transak’s Web3 payments infrastructure. When purchasing or selling digital assets and NFTs, customers will have access to a variety of payment methods due to Transak’s integrations.

Transak Collaboration Boosts Soneium’s Mission to Mainstream Web3 Applications

The collaboration with Transak extends the roster of significant cryptocurrency and blockchain companies that Sony Block Solutions Labs has included as launch partners. These consist of Chainlink, Optimism, Alchemy, USDC issuer Circle, and The Graph. As a provider of pricing feeds, Soneium also has a partnership with Pyth Network, an Oracle platform.

The Soneium blockchain platform’s primary goal is to provide a network through which Web3 applications can reach a wider audience by utilizing Sony’s extensive reach and diverse use cases. Prominent initiatives that are probably going to find the new layer-2 platform appealing include decentralized entertainment, gaming, and music applications.

Our team is working closely with Transak, who share the mission to go Mainstream with Soneium. Transak’s dedicated solutions for multiple industries will empower developers to build innovative solutions, and we look forward to supporting the development of groundbreaking projects on Soneium.
