In order to launch a bug bounty program with a maximum value of $15 million, security platform Immunefi and cross-chain messaging protocol LayerZero have joined forces. According to the impact of the vulnerability, rewards are awarded based on the Immunefi vulnerability ranking system.
LayerZero Is Offering A $15 Million Bug Bounty
According to the impact of the vulnerability, rewards are awarded based on the Immunefi vulnerability ranking system.
Anyone who finds a vulnerability of the greatest severity could receive a reward of up to $15 million under the scheme. The reward is granted in accordance with the impact of the vulnerability and is based on the Immunefi Vulnerability Severity Classification System, per its terms and conditions.
Prizes
A reward of over $250,000 or 10% of the asset value at risk at the moment of reporting is given for critical smart contract vulnerabilities on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Fantom. Based on internal criteria, payouts for critical vulnerabilities begin at $25,000 for all other chains’ non-critical prizes.
Overtaking MakerDAO’s $10 million program, the $15 million prize makes it the most substantial bug bounty program in cryptocurrency history.
About Bug Reports
Bug reports must contain a proof of concept (PoC) demonstrating the ultimate impact on the content in scope in order to qualify for a reward. To meet eligibility requirements, a code is needed instead of explanations or assertions for proof of compliance.
