OKX Introduces Racer’ Launch: OKX’s New Bitcoin Price Guessing Game on Telegram
OKX Introduces– OKX, one of the largest crypto exchanges by trading volume, has launched OKX Racer, a free-to-play Telegram mini-app game. This game challenges players to predict bitcoin’s price movements in five-second intervals.
A First for Centralized Crypto Exchanges
OKX is the first major centralized crypto exchange to release a Telegram mini-app. This move capitalizes on the growing trend of using the messaging platform, which boasts around 900 million users, as a portal for tap-to-earn games. Popular games like Hamster Kombat, Notcoin, and Yescoin allow players to potentially earn crypto via the TON blockchain.
Simple and Engaging Gameplay
Similar to other clicker games, OKX Racer offers a straightforward concept. Players choose whether they think bitcoin’s price will moon or doom in the next five seconds. The more correct guesses a player makes, the more points they earn. Consecutive wins offer point multipliers, and players can also earn referral rewards and use points for in-game upgrades.
Potential Incentives and Rewards
While OKX has not clarified the incentive model for OKX Racer, such games typically drive participation through the expectation of airdrops. For example, Notcoin airdropped over 80 billion TON-based tokens to its players in May. Similar incentives could be expected for OKX Racer players, particularly for game-related tokens launched on the TON blockchain.
Building on Existing Concepts
OKX Racer is not the first game to base its mechanics on bitcoin’s price movements. The Solana-based derivatives betting platform Hxro launched a similar bitcoin trading game in 2019, where players bet on whether bitcoin’s price would go up or down over a five-minute interval.
