In a subsequent tweet, the developer encouraged the Shiba Inu community to visit Tangem’s official website to review the features of the wallet and place a pre-order for the hardware wallet with Shiba Inu design.
Tangem is developing Shiba Inu themed cold wallets
Tangem, a Swiss-based cryptocurrency hardware wallet, is developing unique cold wallets for Shiba Inu (SHIB). Members of the top Shiba Inu team announced the development in a series of tweets.
Shibarium1, a developer on the Shiba Inu team, shared the news earlier this week. In a follow-up tweet, they encouraged the Shiba Inu community to pre-order the Shiba Inu-themed hardware wallet on Tangem’s official website and check out its features.
Lucie Sasnikova, a popular marketing team member of Shiba Inu, also confirmed the development via Twitter. According to Lucie, the Shiba Inu X Tangem cold wallet will support more than 6,000 currencies, including cryptos and fiat.
Users will be able to store and manage their SHIB tokens and other crypto assets on the wallet. Additionally, the wallet will allow users to quickly access decentralized finance (DeFi), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), decentralized exchanges (DEX), among other things.
Lucie also mentioned that the wallet is about the same size as a credit card and does not require batteries or cables to function. However, Tangem has not made any official announcement regarding the development of a Shiba Inu-themed hardware wallet. As of the time of press, no official statement confirming the development had been made on the website or social media accounts.
It’s worth noting that the official hardware wallet already supports Shiba Inu, Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and other crypto assets. Nonetheless, it remains to be seen whether Tangem is developing a Shiba Inu-themed hardware wallet.
