Lee’s death was confirmed by Josh Goldbard, the CEO of his current employer, MobileCoin. Bob Lee started at MobileCoin, a cryptocurrency and digital payment tool, as chief product officer in early 2021.

Josh Goldbard, the CEO of MobileCoin, said in a statement: “Our dear friend and colleague, Bob Lee passed away yesterday at the age of 43, survived by a loving family and collection of close friends and collaborators. Bob was a dynamo, a force of nature. Bob was the genuine article. He was made for the world that is being born right now, he was a child of dreams, and whatever he imagined, no matter how crazy, he made real.” he added, “We will miss you, Bob. We love you.”
“I Lost My Best Friend”
While the events were still hot, Bob Lee’s father, Rick Lee, also confirmed the news of his death in a statement. Making statements about his son’s death, the grieving father expressed his feelings by saying, “I just lost my best friend.” He expressed that his son was not someone who would harm anyone and that everyone who knew him would miss him and thanked those who offered support.
Another person who made a statement on the subject was San Francisco Mayor London Breed. In his statement, the mayor described Lee’s death as a terrible tragedy and said that the perpetrators are still being investigated.
