Crypto News – The contentious but popular tagalong on the Bitcoin blockchain reached another significant milestone on Thursday, with sales of Ordinals inscriptions breaking daily records.
Honey Badger Inscription from Bitcoin Ordinal Sold for $450,000
The NFT marketplace tweeted on Thursday that the eighth inscription from the Honey Badger collection of Ordinals sold for 10.4 BTC on Magic Eden. Honey Badger is a collection of 10K Ordinal Inscriptions, ranging in size from 8 to 1029518, according to Magic Eden.
Magic Eden tagged the account and wrote, “OG General, a pseudonymous Twitter user, purchased the inscription.” As interest in Ordinals inscriptions grew, Magic Eden, which was already the top marketplace for NFTs on the Solana blockchain, introduced an Ordinals NFT marketplace in March.
We love the energy across the Ordinals ecosystem right now, and seeing big marquee sales like Inscription #8 going for close to $460K really solidifies the value people see in digital artifacts that are permanently inscribed on the Bitcoin blockchain,

OG General is Thought to be a Legend
June saw Magic Eden add support for BRC-20 tokens. Ordinals aficionados can generate meme currencies on the Bitcoin blockchain with the BRC-20 protocol in addition to inscriptions.
On the other hand, the Magic Eden account on X referred to OG General as a legend. “Ordinals can not be stopped!” was tweeted late on Thursday by OG General, who has not yet addressed a request for comment.
