SK Telecom Partners with Aptos and Atomrigs Lab to Enhance T Wallet Web3 Service with Non-Ethereum Blockchain Integration
Crypto News – SK Telecom, South Korea‘s leading mobile carrier, has forged a strategic partnership with Aptos and Atomrigs Lab to advance its web3 wallet service, known as T wallet.
In a recent announcement on LinkedIn, the Korean telecommunications giant revealed that this three-way collaboration is geared toward strengthening its ties with customer-favored mainnets and decentralized applications, placing a particular emphasis on T wallet.
A noteworthy aspect of this collaboration is SK Telecom’s integration with Aptos, marking its first venture into a virtual machine blockchain that is not based on Ethereum. The company has expressed its commitment to delivering real value to users by connecting with the promising decentralized app (dApp) ecosystem within Aptos. By harnessing the innovative MoveVM blockchain technology developed by Aptos, this integration represents a substantial step forward in making Web3 services more accessible to a wider audience.
Avery Ching, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Aptos, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Looking forward to unlocking new classes of Internet experiences (with blockchain in the background) through Move, sub-second latency, best-in-class throughput, and enterprise-grade operations.”
This collaboration with Aptos comes on the heels of SK Telecom’s partnership with CryptoQuant, which took place last month for the launch of T wallet. This wallet product is specifically designed to provide users with access to a blockchain-based application on their mobile devices for storing tokens, as reported by CoinDesk.
In August, SK Telecom also joined forces with Polygon Labs to further develop its web3 ecosystem, underlining the company’s strong belief in the potential of Web3 technologies.
