Meta Arena is a P2E NFT game built on the Klaytn blockchain.
Game Content
The Meta Arena game has not been launched yet. However, it is being developed day by day. The game launch is planned for Q2 2023. Players start the game with an Avatar that represents their game identity. You can check a short demo of the game in the video below.
Avatars
Avatars are players’ secondary personalities in the Meta Arena. Each avatar is an NFT created on the Klaytn blockchain to KIP-17 standards. Players can summon Avatars. The characteristics, appearance, classes, and equipment of the summoned avatars are randomly determined. Avatar classes indicate the abilities your avatar will have. There are five avatar classes:
- Tank
- Support
- Assassin
- Ranger
- Mage
Each avatar class has one passive, two actives, and one ultimate ability. The abilities have a cooldown and are affected by the rarity level of the avatar.
Summon
When a player wants to summon any avatar, they need to pay a fee of 30 $KLAY and 1 MST token. The avatar summons process works like this:
- One of the tanks, assassins, support, ranger, and mage is randomly selected.
- The avatar’s appearance is randomly chosen, such as eyes, mouth shape, and skin color.
- A randomly chosen support weapon is given, such as a helmet, armor, gloves, and a gun.
- One of the elements fire, water, earth, and the wind is randomly selected.
The basic stats of Avatars are primarily determined by the class from which they were chosen. Equipment is also a significant element in determining Avatar stats.
Equipment
Equipment is in-game assets that the avatar can equip. Each avatar class has sets of five pieces of equipment in total. When players complete a set of equipment, their avatar receives extra bonuses.
Elements
Elements add strategic features to the Meta Arena game. Each avatar has an element that it represents. There is a synergy between elements. Element synergies are as follows;
- Fire is strong against nature but weak against Water.
- The wind is strong against earth but weak against Fire.
- Earth is strong against water but weak against Wind.
- Water is strong against fire but weak against Earth.
Players can summon an Avatar with a specific element. Unlike normal summoning, this requires three Avatars and 10 $META tokens.
Fusion
Fusion is the process of combining two avatars to create a new avatar. First of all, the avatars for Fusion must have the same class and element. The properties of the newly created avatar are randomized, but players can spend a certain amount of $META tokens to determine which properties should be transferred to the new avatar.
Gameplay
In Meta Arena, players can play two different game modes. Players need to have Avatar NFTs to enter these game modes.
Meta Quest
Players place their avatars, at least one and up to five, in Meta Quest slots. If the placed avatars synergize with each other, players will earn more $META tokens. The number of $META tokens the player will collect in the Meta quest depends on the Combat Points (CP) of the avatars and the synergy of the avatars.
The Meta Quest can end anytime, and your avatars can change at any time. When the quest is terminated, the amount of $META tokens the avatar has collected is calculated and sent to the players’ wallets.
Adventure
Adventures are another game mode where players can use their avatars. Adventure missions cost an entry fee and require players to complete certain conditions based on the difficulty level of the adventure. The difficulty levels and entry costs are as follows:
- D Rank: 5 $META
- C Rank: 10 $META
- B Rank: 20 $META
- A Rank: 35 $META
- S Rank: 50 $META
Each difficulty level has different entry requirements. Players are rewarded with the in-game resources shown in the image below. The difficulty of the Adventure mission affects the reward amount.
Tokenomics
$META is the governance token of the Meta Arena ecosystem. Its maximum supply is 200,000,000, and its distribution is as follows:
- Airdrop: 420,000 (0.21%)
- Liquidity pool: 21,953,800 (10.98%)
- Game Rewards: 131,680,800 (65.84%)
- Marketing: 18,000,000 (9%)
- Partnership: 2,000,000 (1%)
- Developers: 25,945,400 (12.97%)
In addition, the META token will have a deflationary structure.
