Neopets Meta has raised $4 million from GameFi industry leaders to turn Neopets, the popular browser game of the 90s and 2000s, into a metaverse.

Neopets Meta has raised $4 million in a round of funding to reimagine the popular browser game in the metaverse from industry leaders including Polygon Ventures, Blizzard Avalanche Ecosystem Fund, Hashkey Capital, IDG Capital, and NetDragon Websoft.
Along with the funding, the company also announced the first launch of Neopets Meta Alpha: Winter Edition. The game, which will make its Alpha version launch will be set in the Neopia Central and Terror Mountain lands. Neopets Meta Chief Metaverse Officer Dominic Law said:
“We are thrilled to garner such strong support from our investors. This funding will allow us to provide a genuinely inclusive and immersive gaming experience that will capture the spirit of the Neopets community.”
