Old Street Digital(OSD), a crypto-based asset management firm, closed its round with $2.8 million in funding, led by Draper Associates, with participation from Plassa Capital and leading venture capital and angel investors in Europe, Asia and the US.
Immediately after the funding round, Tim Draper said, “The Old Street Digital team is well positioned to provide access to a range of research-backed, crypto-based mutual funds, and we at Draper Associates are excited to support them.”
Old Street Digital was founded with the aim of managing institutional assets with a focus on fundamental research to create a series of crypto funds for professional investors. The company will apply its high-level fund management expertise from the traditional world in the crypto world.

We are setting up a crypto asset manager to fill this gap with a number of actively managed funds in an accessible fund structure.’’
The company, which launched its first fund this quarter, plans to open a new fund in the fourth quarter.

The Management of Old Street Digital is Entrusted to Gary Blake
OSD’s portfolio management will be headed by Gary Clarke, chief investment officer. He is one of the most well-known stock portfolio managers in Europe. He has 27 years of portfolio management experience. He was previously Head of Global Equities at Blackrock, where he oversaw US$31 billion in client assets. In addition, he has held senior positions with leading fund managers, including Head of European Equities at Schroders and Head of Thematic Investments at JP Morgan Asset Management.
