In contrast, Coca-Cola Co (NYSE: KO) fell 1.13% to settle at $71.19UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH) declined 1.12% to close at $301.31, while Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) slipped 0.63% to $154.42.

S&P 500: Dollar General Leads a Mixed Board

Top Performers on the S&P 500

The standout stock on the S&P 500 was Dollar General Corporation (NYSE: DG), which surged 15.85% to close at $112.57. It was followed by ON Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: ON), up 11.31% to $47.35, and Amentum Holdings LLC (NYSE: AMTM), which rose 10.30% to finish at $21.31.

S&P 500 Decliners

Among the stocks that experienced significant declines during the trading session, Kenvue Inc (NYSE: KVUE) stood out as one of the worst performers, dropping sharply by 6.13% to close at $22.22. Similarly, FactSet Research Systems Inc (NYSE: FDS) faced considerable selling pressure, resulting in a decline of 4.83%, ending the day at $434.52. Adding to the list of struggling stocks, CME Group Inc (NASDAQ: CME) also faced headwinds throughout the day, closing down 2.89% at $282.31, reflecting a broader cautious sentiment among investors towards certain market sectors.

On the losing side, Huachen AI Parking Management Technology Holding Co Ltd (NASDAQ: HCAI) plunged 61.14% to close at $1.57, marking an all-time low. China Liberal Education Holdings (OTC: CLEUF) dropped 58.25% to $0.43, and PTL Inc (NASDAQ: PTLE) fell 47.86% to $0.73 — also a record low.

On the NYSE, advancing stocks outnumbered decliners by 1,895 to 865, with 81 stocks ending unchanged. On the NASDAQ2,255 stocks rose1,063 declined, and 121 closed flat. These figures indicate a broad-based positive sentiment across both exchanges.

In commodities trading, Crude Oil for July delivery rose 1.33%, or $0.83, to $63.35 per barrel. The Brent Oil contract for August also gained 1.47%, or $0.95, reaching $65.58 per barrel. These gains reflected optimism in energy markets amid broader economic stability.

Gold Pulls Back

Gold Futures for August delivery fell 0.55%, or $18.83, to trade at $3,378.37 per troy ounce, signaling a retreat in safe-haven demand as risk appetite grows in equity markets.
