In early March of this year, ETH last traded at this level. Following the spike, ETH had a minor decline due to a rebound. Ethereum is trading at $2,303 at the time of publication.

Abraxas Capital Management, which has been specializing in digital assets since 2017, has been accumulating Ethereum following this significant price increase, according to an analytics account, Lookonchain. It bought and took out $116.3 million worth of 61,401 ETH from several cryptocurrency exchanges today. For over $92 million on Thursday, the same fund manager purchased 49,644 Ethereum from Binance.

The data-aggregating business Senora (formerly IntoTheBlock) has released figures indicating that whales have been draining Ethereum cryptocurrency exchanges for the third week in a row. Over the past few weeks, $559 million has been outflowed.

In addition, a significant player has stepped in to purchase Ethereum today. World Liberty Finance paid about $3.5 million for 1,587 ETH. It also increased the amount of cryptocurrency it owned by 9.7 WBTC, or $1 million.
