Electric carmaker Tesla (TSLA) did not buy or sell bitсoin in the fourth quarter, which is the second consecutive quarter, the company said in its latest earnings report on Wednesday. At the end of the quarter its digital asset value was $184 million, down from $218 million at the end of the third quarter due to the falling bitсoin price. At the end of Q3 the bitсoin price was slightly below $20,000, while at the end of Q4 it was at around $16,500.

There weren’t any changes in Тesla’s bitсoin holdings in the third quarter, but in the second quarter, the company surprised community by selling $936 million worth of bitсoin, or about 75% of its total holdings. However, CEO Elon Musk at the time said that the company was willing to increase its exposure to bitсoin in the future and that the sale “should not be taken as some verdict on bitсoin.”
