ETH vs BTC- Ethereum Sees Massive Inflows from Top Investment Firms

ETH vs BTC– Ethereum [ETH] is drawing increasing attention from major institutions, suggesting a strategic shift in crypto market dynamics. Industry giants like BlackRock and Fidelity have reportedly reduced their Bitcoin [BTC] holdings, redirecting substantial capital into Ethereum. This rotation appears to align with speculation about the potential approval of Ethereum staking for institutional investors.

Capital Rotation: From BTC to ETH

According to the latest ETF inflow data from June 2, BlackRock and Fidelity offloaded approximately $180 million in BTC. Nearly $78 million of that was reallocated into Ethereum, with around 30,000 ETH acquired. This capital movement suggests that these institutions are positioning themselves ahead of a possible regulatory green light for Ethereum [ETH] staking.

The trend points to Ethereum [ETH] becoming a central pillar of institutional crypto portfolios, especially as sentiment shifts away from Bitcoin [BTC] in the short term.

Sentiment and Market Mood: Ethereum Takes the Lead

Data from Santiment shows that for every bearish social post about ETH, there are three bullish ones — a significantly more optimistic ratio than Bitcoin’s 1.3:1. The surge in positive sentiment indicates rising retail and institutional confidence in Ethereum’s near-term prospects. With ETH staking rumors circulating, the market appears increasingly aligned with Ethereum as the next phase of crypto growth.

Whale Behavior Remains Influential

Even as sentiment climbs, large holders are making key moves. A notable whale who acquired 13,478 ETH (valued at $49 million) between December 2024 and January 2025 has reportedly sent 10,000 ETH (around $24.55 million) to Binance in the past two weeks. While not necessarily a bearish signal, it reflects active positioning as the market evolves.
