Ledger, a company of hardware wallets, recently announced that Cometh Battle, a blockchain game, would be added to its Ledger Live app. Users will able to play a Web3 game on the company’s software app, which was created to give users a more powerful interface for managing and viewing their cryptocurrency holdings like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
What is Cometh Battle?
The first game to launch on Ledger Live is Cometh Battle. It is a free-to-play digital card game that released an open beta on Polygon last May. The sci-fi game consists of NFT assets that can be bought, sold, or rented. The game, which is PvP, allows players to compete with their opponents.
Players receive 40 in-game cards and a non-NFT spaceship for free when they start. They can then purchase both NFT and non-NFT cards alike. The game’s NFT spaceships can be bought or rented from other players, allowing users to generate in-game resources to use to craft new NFT cards.
Relationship between Ledger and Cometh Battle
You have a hardware wallet from Ledger to use the Ledger Live app to play the game. Jerome de Tychey, the CEO of Cometh, thinks that the game’s inclusion on Ledger Live will improve player convenience and security.
“The many hacks are often a limitation for new users to join Web3. This partnership with Ledger not only increases the security of our ecosystem but also aims to onboard more gamers safely into Web3. We want to provide an environment where players can enjoy the game without constantly being on alert anytime they sign a transaction.”
