Crypto NewsBen BitBoy Armstrong, a prominent crypto influencer, has been dropped from the case in relation to the FTX bankruptcy by the plaintiffs.

Armstrong allegedly had not “served an answer or motion for summary judgment.” In other words, he didn’t address any of the claims made in the lawsuit or request that the court resolve the issue based on the information offered.

Co-Lead Counsel is filing a Notice of Voluntary Dismissal of claims against FTX Defendant Ben Armstrong and will file a Notice of his settlement in the related Binance matter,

Three Celebrities Announce Decisions to Take Action on the Case

According to the petition, the case will be resolved and Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence and YouTube stars Kevin Paffrath and Tom Nash. The settlements’ terms are not being made public. U.S. Judge K. Michael Moore is currently reviewing a court order that would formally acknowledge the settlements and drop the three from the ongoing litigation.

Other settlements will probably be achieved, as stated in the filing. The Co-Lead Counsel is also holding ongoing, private settlement conversations with additional FTX Defendants. The names and account numbers for some of the marketing and sponsorship payments made by FTX under former CEO Sam Bankman-Fried included Lawrence and Nash in a document made last week.

Along with institutions like the MLB and the NBA’s Miami Heat and Golden State Warriors franchises, that document revealed millions of dollars in payments to famous sportsmen like Shaquille O’Neal, Naomi Osaka, and David Ortiz. Additionally mentioned were Kevin O’Leary, Coachella, and Gamestop. Tom Brady, Gisele Bundchen, and Steph Curry are some of the more famous people who have been sued for endorsing FTX.
