Crypto News– Asia-based cryptocurrency exchange HashKey Exchange, which operates primarily in Hong Kong, has entered into a partnership with crypto wallet provider imToken, aiming to enhance its offerings for retail clients.
imToken and HashKey Forge Partnership to Explore Retail Market Opportunities in Hong Kong’s Crypto Exchange Landscape
As per a statement disclosed to The Block today, HashKey has affirmed its commitment to furnish imToken users with a compliant and trustworthy trading platform, while imToken will serve as the official non-custodial wallet collaborator, catering to users who prefer managing their digital assets independently.
This collaboration follows HashKey’s recent attainment of groundbreaking achievement earlier this month: being the first cryptocurrency establishment in Hong Kong to acquire a license under the city’s fresh licensing framework, enabling cryptocurrency trading platforms to extend retail services. On Monday, HashKey initiated its cryptocurrency trading services for retail clients. In a recent conversation with The Block, Livio Weng, HashKey’s Chief Operating Officer, expressed his optimism about the potential of their retail services.
Weng stated, “We hope to expand our registered user base to between 500,000 and 1 million by the end of this year. We are also anticipating a more bullish market next year. If that scenario unfolds, our aim is to cater to 10 million users by 2025.“
Currently, HashKey is actively engaged in discussions with approximately five local brokerages in the city, seeking to establish pathways for its cryptocurrency trading services, as revealed by Weng.
