A strategic collaboration to facilitate cryptocurrency payments in France has been announced by the crypto exchange Binance and the French payment giant Ingenico.

Binance Partners with Payment Giant Ingenico

On February 22, Binance announced a partnership with Ingenico, a provider of worldwide payment solutions, to make it simple for users to make payments using Binance Pay. It views the agreement as a further step toward the widespread use of cryptocurrencies.

The collaboration facilitated crypto payments in France. This provides a method for accepting cryptocurrency payments in-person at locations having Ingenico’s AXIUM payment terminals. In light of the MiCA regulation, France is a crucial European nation for Binance, where it also has its headquarters.

About Collaboration

Consumers will be able to pay with cryptocurrencies at physical points of sale thanks to this collaboration, which also makes it simple for businesses to accept more than 50 cryptocurrencies through Ingenico payment terminals. The biggest payment terminals in the entire globe are situated there.

Additionally, it will have a retailer (Miss Opéra) and a caterer (La Carlie), making it the first crypto payment acceptance solution in France. Several European nations will soon use Binance Pay‘s integration into Ingenico payment terminals.

“As a leading payments ecosystem accelerator, we are excited to partner with up-and-coming brands like Binance to bring cryptocurrency payments to retail for consumers around the world.”

Michel Léger, executive vice president at Ingenico
