Base App Sparks ZORA Frenzy: SocialFi Hype Surges with Base App Launch
The rebranding of Coinbase’s wallet into the Base App has sparked a SocialFi upsurge, which has caused Zora’s (ZORA) activity to skyrocket and resulted in a huge rally for its coin. After rebranding on July 16, Zora, which allows users to mint marketable tokens linked to certain social media postings, had a sharp increase in usage.
Integrated with Zora and Farcaster, the Base App offers one-tap token minting, posting, and conversation capabilities. As a result, daily Zora token creations increased from roughly 4,000 to over 15,000, reaching a peak of 38,000 mints on July 24, according to Dune statistics.
ZORA Price Skyrockets: From $0.011 to $0.0615 in Just 7 Days
In the last week, ZORA’s price increased 367.33%, from $0.011 to $0.0615. According to CoinMarketCap data, the token’s market capitalization increased from just under $50 million to over $294 million in a single week.
Dune data showed that creator earnings followed the trend. Payouts increased from about $1,000 to over $30,000 per day as over 12,000 different creators joined the chase. During the boom, more than 8,000 Zora Smart Wallets were in use every day.

This rapid expansion reflects a larger trend in user behavior toward decentralized social networks that incentivize participation and innovation. ZORA is now at the forefront of the SocialFi movement thanks to the Base App’s smooth integration of minting and engagement capabilities. According to analysts, ZORA may continue to grow and draw in even more users from conventional platforms if current adoption rates continue and creator incentives are maintained.
