High Funding To Smash Stars!

Web3-based arcade game Smash Stars: Thunderdome has achieved great success. The game, the first game of Flowstate Games, received $ 2 million in funding with investments from the Play Ventures Future Fund and Elite Game Developers!

The Smash Stars Project

Edvard Groundstroem, one of the founders of the Flowstate team, expressed that he aims to grow the project by transferring his previous mobile game market experience to Smash Stars: Thunderdome. Edvard Groundstroem has also appeared in games such as Angry Birds and Drive Ahead.

Although the founders and managers of the company have focused on web3 projects, they state that their priorities are to make good games and entertain people. Flowstate Games‘ vision is to provide people with free and instant access to fun games.

When Flowstate Games was first founded, Edvard Groundstroem believed that the NFT world was a world of fraud and that people were putting their games into the system just to make money. But, getting used to the web3 world day by day, Groundstroem stated that he realized that the principles of the web3 world were completely different and that entertainment and accessibility were at the forefront. In addition, the Flowstate Games team emphasizes that Smash Stars: Thunderdome players do not buy in-game content as NFT and the game is completely free.

Tackling NFT Within NFT

When it comes to the gaming world, neither game developers nor gamers like web3-based games very much. One of the main reasons for this is that people want to stay away from the world of NFT and play or develop their games with areas that have been opened only for “gaming”. For this reason, Flowstate Games stated that while developing the Smash Stars: Thunderdome game, they did not take into account the fanatical mass of players referred to as “hardcore”.

The company wants to detail its content through characters that can be added to the game, not through a token while taking place in the NFT world. Flowstate Games, which “struggles with NFT in the NFT world” in its own words, points out that NFTs can be compatible with web3 games, but this system requires time. The company says that they are completely based on arcade game mechanics when making Smash Stars. They state that the reason for this is that they predict that the created NFTs will be more comfortable to use in-game and that it will be possible to make long-term plans.

Smash Stars: Thunderdome Gameplay Mechanics

Smash Stars: Thunderdome, which is planned to be released by Flowstate Games for alpha tests in the first quarter of 2023, is exactly a “car fight” game. In addition, Smash Stars is a competitive game in which there are multiple modes in the game, whether it can be played as a single-player or multiplayer. The mechanics of gravity in the game are processed in a very detailed way.

Smash Stars: Thunderdome is being processed on a system in which there are many different features of vehicles, with mechanics that users can create and detail their own vehicles. NFT is involved in the game exactly at this point. Players can buy their characters, the appearance of their vehicles and the action moves for the game as NFT and play in this way.
